Green Juice
I’ve been having a green juice every day for several days now. My favourite concoction is as follows:

Juice Me Green Baby!
- 1 bunch fresh spinach
- 1/2 bunch of celery
- 1/2 bunch of cilantro or parsley
- 1/2 peeled lemon
- 1 inch chunk of peeled ginger (or 1/4 tsp powder)
Run all ingredients through a juicer in the order listed. (If using ginger powder, mix it in at the end.) Substitute any leafy green for the spinach, any herb for the cilantro, cucumber for the celery. Make it your own; just make it green, baby.
If you’re new to green juices, the lemon is essential; use as much as you need. Try this for one week, and you will crave it forever. I think this applies to most things in life, but especially foods. Sometimes you have to train yourself to eat healthier. Sometimes not. Green juices are tough for some people to swallow, but they are SO worth the effort. Try it. One week. I dare ya.

okay, I will take you up on the dare! How long can you keep the juice? A couple of days or does it have to be drunk the same day?
We should all be drunk the same day

Drink it as soon as possible after making it; fresh juices lose their nutrients pretty quickly when exposed to air. If you have leftover juice, keep it in a sealed jar in the fridge, but try to drink it within 24 hours. An extra day won’t kill you, but it also won’t be as beneficial.
day 1….I forgot the spinach and put a bit too much ginger in it. Wasn’t great…but I will try again tomorrow Laura
